Meet the Chef – Tatu Ollila
Tatu Ollila is a local chef from Muonio, deeply rooted in the landscapes, seasons, and flavors of Finnish Lapland. With extensive experience in private dining, Tatu knows how to transform the pure ingredients of the North into unforgettable culinary experiences.
He has an exceptional understanding of Lapland’s natural bounty—wild herbs, Arctic fish, game, and seasonal produce—and the skill to turn them into refined yet soulful dishes that tell a story of the region.
In 2024, Muonio-born Tatu Ollila won the Finnish Championship for Young Chefs, earning the national title at the Jeunes Chefs Rôtisseurs Competition. The same year, he proudly represented Finland at the World Championships in Hungary, showcasing Nordic excellence on an international stage.
Tatu creates a bespoke Lapland-inspired menu exclusively for you, carefully composed to highlight local flavors, seasonality, and your personal dining experience—right in the comfort of your villa.
